After 20+ years being Pop Punk kings I’m not sure who still needs an introduction to New Found Glory. Their resume’ includes 10 studio albums, 1 live album, 2 EPs, 4 cover albums, and countless tours. Forever And Ever X Infinity has been long awaited by fans. If you’ve been a longtime fan of the band this album is going to check all the nostalgic boxes, as well as deliver new and evolved sounds that you have come to expect from NFG. If you are a new listener, and this is your first experience with NFG, this album is going to hook you and have you diving into their catalogue of work. "This is the record our fans have been waiting for us to make," guitarist Chad Gilbert shares, "The old now feels new and fresh. It was a blast finding ourselves again."

The album is 15 tracks long, while many people may think that it would get stagnant, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Over the course of the album you will go from high energy pop punk anthems, to classic sappy longing hopeless romantic vibes, and back into nostalgic post hardcore influenced tempo. With there being 15 tracks we wanted to just pick a few to give you a little insight and taste of, you’ll have to go check out the whole album wherever you buy or stream music.

The album kicks off with a very high paced single, “Shook By Your Shaved Head”. High tempo, heavy post-hardcore chunky guitars, and sinfully pop punk vocals meld together flawlessly in this track proving that New Found Glory are still kings of pop punk. “So close to giving up, When is enough enough” is a lyric that in this moment in time absolutely everyone in the world can relate to, though maybe in a different context than intended by frontman Jordan Pundik. "You've gotta take your life back. You've got so much more to give. That's what I say to myself when I feel like giving into the shame I feel. Won't let it keep me standing still" is a mantra that we all need to take in and scream along with.

Himalaya is going to sound familiar to long time fans of the band. Over the years Jordan has talked about friendships in songs, “My Friends Over You”, “Listen To Your Friends”, and now with Himalaya he suggests it may be time to find yourself some new friends. “They don’t want what’s best for you / They just want what works best for them / You spread yourself too thin / I think it’s time you find yourself / Find yourself some new friends” is a clear message to evaluate your friendships and make sure that they are mutually beneficial .

Another area that NFG have shined over the years are in the lighter, sappy, hopeless romantic tracks, and that is exactly what More and More brings to the album. This track would be easily placed in a sappy 90s teenage romantic comedy as they go through some sort of relationship montage. “I’ll keep loving you more and more / Every day a little more than the day before” speaks to the love that we all look for in our lives.

Over the years New Found Glory have been able to step outside of the pop punk mold, try some things, then bring them back into the mix to create a new, fresh, more robust musical experience for fans. It’s clear to see why the band has been around for more than 20 years, and there is no real end in sight. Their music is nostalgic for long time listeners, always bringing you back to the days when you first heard them. NFG seem to always deliver the music that you need in that moment. Like a best friend checking in on you, Jordan delivers the anthems and soundtrack to your best memories.
