In this episode I talk with Mel Taevin about Asian Hate/Racism, Bi-Polar Disorder, Suicide Prevention, and much more. Mel spoke at length with me from a very personal perspective around asian racism, and growing up as an adopted Korean living in a very religious environment. We discussed moving from a small town to much bigger area’s and how that impacted and in some ways provided her with a new sense of self. We also discuss our desire to help break the stigma around mental health.
Some of this conversation may be triggering to those battling their mental health so please keep that in mind. We are not licensed mental health professionals, councilors, or therapists. We speak only from our own personal experiences and perspectives.
